Natural Disasters Northern Mariana Islands April 2024

Relief After Super Typhoon Sinlaku

When Super Typhoon Sinlaku devastated the islands of Saipan and Tinian, KjngdomCome.org mobilized teams to bring shelter, medical care, and the hope of the Gospel to those who had lost everything.

Super Typhoon Sinlaku struck the Northern Mariana Islands with devastating force, leaving communities on Saipan and Tinian without shelter, clean water, or access to medical care. Families lost their homes overnight, and local infrastructure was overwhelmed by the scale of the destruction.

KjngdomCome.org responded swiftly, deploying teams in partnership with local churches and community organizations. Our volunteers distributed emergency shelter materials — tarps, building supplies, and temporary housing kits — to hundreds of families in the hardest-hit areas.

Medical teams provided care to residents who had no access to hospitals or clinics in the immediate aftermath of the storm. Alongside physical relief, our chaplains and ministry partners shared the love of Christ with survivors, offering prayer, comfort, and the hope of the Gospel to those in despair.

"We didn't just come with supplies — we came with the love of Jesus. That's what people remembered most."
— KjngdomCome.org Field Team Member

The response in the Northern Mariana Islands is a testament to what is possible when the body of Christ moves together — meeting immediate physical needs while pointing people to the One who brings lasting hope and restoration.
